Check out the Natural Horizons website for all of our new video testimonials. "One of the things Natural Horizons has helped me to do is in balancing and stabilizing my jaw I don’t have the shooting pain down my neck and down my arm and in my head. And so I can do things and I feel like doing things, whereas before, I felt awful and I didn’t want to do anything. I just wanted to stay in bed. So I’ve been able to go out and actually swim again, which I wasn’t able to do for a long time, and walk, which I couldn’t even do because I was in so much pain." - June S., Natural Horizons patient

New and Improved Integrative Dental Programs at NHWC
Here at Natural Horizons Wellness Centers we have a variety of the highest quality integrative medicine modalities. One is the Huggins Protocol for our dental patients. The Huggins Protocol is based on the work of Dr. Hal Huggins, whose ground breaking work has been instrumental in the process of dental revisions and the link between dental health and overall health and well-being. In fact, Dr. Huggins and the dentists that he has trained have been able to return the health and functionality to many individuals that had serious degenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis and even cancer. By adhering to the Huggins protocol our patients recover faster, have less complications and notice rapid return to good health. Many of our patients and clients remark that they feel better than they have in years! The facets of the protocol are instrumental in the removal of dental toxins specifically amalgams and “non-immune” compatible materials. All clients are educated before hand. Prior to treatment, the patient obtains a Huggins Applied Healing Assist Report which is based on their individual blood chemistry. This provides valuable data that is interpreted by Dr. Huggins. A personalized plan is generated with information on improving one’s lifestyle including diet, supplementation and detoxification. The following are key components of the Huggins Protocol:
- Patient protection: The use of a rubber dam, isonized air, copious amount of water, and IV vitamin C provide protection against fumes and vapors that can be absorbed or inhaled as fillings are removed.
- Sequential Removal and Timing: Fillings and crowns are combinations of metal which interact with one’s saliva creating an electrical current. After years of study Dr. Huggins has found that fillings must be removed in a specific order. We also have established rules for when to have work done. Breaking these rules can impede healing and create a health problem that wasn’t there to begin with.
- Immune Compatible Filling Material: By obtaining a sample from the patients blood, we can test to determine what materials create the least challenge to their immune system. Many people have composite materials placed in their teeth that are almost as toxic as the mercury that is removed. Testing provides a personal report that creates peace of mind in our clients.
- Conscious Sedation: This is an optional procedure that allows our dentists to perform more work on the patient, without the patient feeling “discomfort”. Without conscious sedation, you are limited to 2 hours of dentistry every 48 hours. Removal procedures such as root canals and caviations that would normally take 2-3 visits can be done in one session! Patients who have conscious sedation usually report that they don’t feel (or remember) anything.
- Recovery: The use of supplements, massage, acupressure and diet are integral in healing and feeling better soon. Detoxification and improving one’s health and well-being is an ongoing process and continues after removal of toxic materials from the body.

NHWC is Expanding!
Natural Horizons is expanding our new location! We are acquiring 3,000 square feet of space next door to add additional services and treatments to our growing center. This new space will include a much larger infusion room for our cancer patients, complete with areas of relaxation for families of those getting treatment. Dr. Lucky Bennett, ND, will move her office there, in addition to two other medical offices (for expansion and new programs). There will be a small kitchen that may be used by staff and our patients to make fresh juices and smoothies and to participate in cooking classes. Our expanded Center will have a larger infusion lab that will relocate from its current location, and two handicapped bathrooms. The current IV infusion room will become our Hyperbaric Chamber facility. The new space will be very "homey" complete with comfortable family room type furniture and a fireplace. We will keep you posted on new developments and our grand opening somtime this fall!
