Reflexology
Modern reflexology was developed by Eimice Ingham who extrapolated the work of European zone therapy of the hands to the feet.
The practice of reflexology is based on the reflex points in the hands and feet that correspond to specific tissues, organs and glands throughout the body. By stimulating these reflex points, corresponding organs and tissues in the body develop better circulation and energy flow while stress is decreased.
The nerve endings that bunch together in reflex points on the feet connect to the spine and the brain, which, in turn, branch to corresponding tissues of the body.
Applications of Reflexology
Reflexology is a wonderful adjunct to any therapy for any part of the body. For example, when attempting to get a supplement to the pancreas of a diabetic, reflexology can improve the uptake of the supplement to the pancreas, improve the uptake of the supplement to the pancreas, plus improve energy and blood flow to the pancreas to improve its healing.
Most chronic health issues are helped by reflexology together with most other therapies and can be easily taught to a patient to use on themselves.
