Green juicing can be thought of as juicing for life, for bringing back the vitality and youth you once had. The benefits derived from juicing greens are truly miraculous from a nutritional and health standpoint.
The reasons we juice can be as individual as we are. Losing weight, cleansing the body, regaining health and healing from disease are what we will gain from implementing a green juicing program regardless of why we choose to juice.

While some excess weight may not seem like an immediate health concern, being overweight results in excess fat cells. Fat cells contain estrogen, estrogen which is excreted, and comes into contact with our other cells. Estrogen feeds cancer cells like crazy!

I am a big advocate of drinking green juice to lose weight as I dropped 10 pounds effortlessly when I started my own personal health regime.

My health regime also resulted in cleansing my body. Drinking green juice is an essential precursor to beginning renewed living. Green juicing detoxifies your body by:

Dr. Warburg, recipient of a Nobel Prize for physiology and medicine, concluded that inadequate oxygen in the body was a major factor in the development of cancer. He further concluded that with a consistent source of oxygenation to every cell, cancer could be prevented.

Dr. Ann Wigmore, a long-time advocate of a healing diet and a follower of Dr. Warburg, advocated green juice and wheatgrass in particular, for many kinds of healing due to its' nutritional make-up consisting of:

Chlorophyll and enzymes are huge factors in the healing process and are a large component of green juices.
I follow Dr. Wigmore's protocols daily. In the first 3 months I dropped twelve pounds and 2 sizes.....without even trying. In addition I sleep better, focus more clearly and have much more energy. Simple Green Juice Recipe
- 1 cucumber
- 3-4 stalks celery
- 4 leaves of kale (can also rotate greens: parsley, spinach, dandelion, collards, swiss chard
- 1 granny smith apple Parsley (to taste)
- 1 piece ginger, about 1/2 inch 1/4 lemon (rind removed)
- Put all ingredients through juicer. Serves 1.
